The magazine and poster were made on a similar publisher to Photoshop called serif. The picture implanted on the magazine denotes a picture of the main character, who is being chased by the villain. We chose to use the victim rather than the villain because the villain was covered by a mask, so by illustrating the girls face, we hoped it will enable the audience to familiarise with actor or expose actor using a long running magazine- 'Direct Film'. Three bold colours are conveyed: black, red and white- to illustrate the genre of 'Masked Oppression', being a horror movie, with sub-genres of haunted house and supernatural. We used red as it is common to trigger and connotes: Anxious, Insecure, Fazed, Harassed, Stressed, Tensed, Angered, Alarmed feelings. White: Confused, Frustrated, Strained, Stunned/Shocked feelings. Black:Mysterious, Intense, Serious, isolated feelings. This information was addressed to us through the mood ring colours chart, enabling us to connect with our audience using psychological facts.Saturday, 10 December 2011
