Filming again

The footage of of teaser trailer was not clear and it didn't contain various shots, so we have to film again this week and we need to take new pictures because we've been advised to change the actress. I am going to bring my camera tomorrow to take the picture of the new actress for the poster and magazine. We're planning to use more various shots, as illustrated:

Moreover this time were trying to focus on Mise-En-Scene of enforcing the isolated setting.

Final magazine & Poster

The magazine and poster were made on a similar publisher to Photoshop called serif. The picture implanted on the magazine denotes a picture of the main character, who is being chased by the villain. We chose to use the victim rather than the villain because the villain was covered by a mask, so by illustrating the girls face, we hoped it will enable the audience to familiarise with actor or expose actor using a long running magazine- 'Direct Film'. Three bold colours are conveyed: black, red and white- to illustrate the genre of 'Masked Oppression', being a horror movie, with sub-genres of haunted house and supernatural. We used red as it is common to trigger and connotes: Anxious, Insecure, Fazed, Harassed, Stressed, Tensed, Angered, Alarmed feelings. White: Confused, Frustrated, Strained, Stunned/Shocked feelings. Black:Mysterious, Intense, Serious, isolated feelings.  This information was addressed to us through the mood ring colours chart, enabling us to connect with our audience using psychological facts.

Editing film

The group editor Azhar started of placing the clips of our trailer teaser together on adobe premiere pro; so that we could actually start creating the storyline. He left gaps in-between to add transitions and further altering e.g. extending speed of clip of the low angle shot of the house. Later I contributed with picking the sound and creating a dynamic soundtrack, placing thudding sounds to were the villain in the mask gets revealed. Elements of intertexuality has also been added from psycho in our teaser trailer- over shoulder bathroom scene of main, vulnerable character looking in the mirror, to getting chased and screeching violin.
